The highway bridge over the South Alligator River on the Arnhem Highway, 40km inside Kakadu. This is one of the most crocodile-dense river crossings in Australia — it's common to see 5–10 saltwater crocodiles basking on the banks from the bridge. No swimming. A viewing platform has been installed. The South Alligator River crossing is one of the best places in Australia to observe saltwater crocodiles in the wild from a safe vantage point.
