The western continuation of Larapinta Drive through the West MacDonnell Ranges — a sealed and unsealed road passing Glen Helen, Redbank Gorge, and approaching Mount Sonder. The drive offers some of the best continuous desert and range scenery in Central Australia. Namatjira Drive is the road that Albert Namatjira painted — the same views, colours, and ghost gums that made him Australia's most celebrated Aboriginal artist.
In a national park, you'll usually need an NT Parks Pass, and campsites & some walks must be booked in advance.
