A concrete causeway crossing the East Alligator River at the border of Kakadu and Arnhem Land. Passable at low tide only — covered by up to 2m of water at high tide. Famous for crowds of barramundi attempting to leap the causeway at high tide, attracting enormous saltwater crocodiles. One of the most wildlife-dense spots in Kakadu. Cahill's Crossing is where the crocodiles congregate in greatest numbers in all of Kakadu. Watching 30+ saltwater crocs hunt barramundi at high tide is extraordinary.
Solid spot — worth a stop if you're nearby.
