A small remote township at the mouth of the McArthur River on the Gulf of Carpentaria coast. Famous for exceptional barramundi fishing in the McArthur River system and nearby Sir Edward Pellew Islands. Strong Yanyuwa Aboriginal culture and one of Australia's most remote communities. The Savannah Way passes through here. Borroloola is one of Australia's most remote and authentic outback communities. The nearby McArthur River and island archipelago offer fishing comparable to anywhere in Australia.
