“The NT was ranked #14 on the New York Times’ 2026 ‘52 Places to Go’ list.”

Our Mission

NT Explorer exists to make the Northern Territory accessible, safe, and unforgettable for every visitor and local. Whether you’re chasing waterfalls in Litchfield, watching the sun set over Uluru, or finding the best laksa in Darwin, we want to help you make the most of this incredible part of the world.

Our Story

NT Explorer was born out of a simple frustration: finding reliable, up-to-date information about the Northern Territory was harder than it should be. Road conditions change with the seasons, crocodile management zones shift, and new experiences pop up all the time. We wanted a single place where locals and visitors could share what they know and help each other explore safely.

We’re based in Darwin — the beating heart of the Top End — and we build NT Explorer with the same spirit of mateship and adventure that makes the Territory so special. Every feature we ship is designed to help someone have a better experience out here, whether that’s their first visit or their five-hundredth.

Partnerships

We’re always looking to partner with tourism operators, local businesses, and organisations that share our passion for the Territory. If you’d like to work with us — whether it’s listing your business, co-creating content, or sponsoring a feature — we’d love to hear from you at contact@explorernt.com

Acknowledgement of Country

NT Explorer acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the lands and waters across the Northern Territory. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to Country, culture, and community. The Northern Territory is home to some of the oldest living cultures on Earth, and we are privileged to live, work, and explore on these lands. We are committed to listening, learning, and ensuring that First Nations voices and knowledge are honoured in everything we do.
